miraleste Schools then & now

In 1929 the first school built in Miraleste was Miraleste Elementary located at 6245 Via Canada, Rancho Palos Verdes.

In 2004 it was reconfigured as a private preschool and is part of the PVSD. It was renamed Miraleste Early Learning Academy (MELA).

Miraleste High School was built in 1967 and opened in September of the following year as the third high school on the Peninsula.

In 1991, due to declining enrollment on the Peninsula, it was reconfigured as an Intermediate school for 6th – 8th graders reopening as Miraleste Intermediate School.
